AG Grid & Bryntum today announced two board appointments as the business enters its next phase of growth, strengthening its leadership to support continued expansion across its global developer community and the enterprise organisations that build on their work.
Jason Forget has been appointed Chair of the Board for the newly formed group combining AG Grid and Bryntum, backed by Adelis Equity Partners. The appointment was made jointly by AG Grid CEO John Masterson and Bryntum CEO Mats Bryntse. Jason Osmond, who has served as Chairman of AG Grid since October 2024, moves to the Group Board as a Non-Executive Member, ensuring continuity of strategic oversight following a period of significant transformation.
The appointments come at a time of strong momentum. AG Grid was recently recognised at the Megabuyte Awards, receiving both Best-Performing Company Overall and Best-Performing Company in Security and Infrastructure - awards based on independent analysis of growth, profitability, and cash performance.
A chair to support the next phase of growth for AG Grid and Bryntum
Jason Forget brings extensive experience scaling developer-first software businesses into global enterprise organisations. His track record spans products with the same DNA as AG Grid and Bryntum: technically deep, developer-adopted tools that require a different commercial approach to scale than conventional software. As the first sales hire at Redis, he built the go-to-market organisation from the ground up, growing the company to more than 9,000 paying customers including a significant proportion of the Fortune 100. Prior to Redis, he spent eight years at Imperva, helping scale worldwide field operations from $1 million to $300 million in revenue. He currently serves as President and Chief Revenue Officer at Cockroach Labs.
His experience reflects a consistent pattern: taking products with strong developer adoption and building the commercial capability required to scale them in the enterprise - the same trajectory AG Grid is on.
"AG Grid & Bryntum solve a fundamental challenge for developers building modern, data-intensive applications. It's rare to see products that are both deeply loved by developers and broadly adopted across leading enterprises. That combination creates a powerful foundation for growth. I'm excited to partner with John Masterson and the entire team to build on that momentum." Jason Forget
"Jason brings exactly the kind of experience we need as we continue to expand in the market. He has built and scaled revenue organisations in companies with trajectories very similar to ours. His perspective will be invaluable as we move into this next phase." John Masterson, CEO, AG Grid, and Mats Bryntse, CEO Bryntum.
Continuity through a period of transformation
When Jason Osmond joined AG Grid as Chairman in October 2024, the business was at an inflection point. Working closely with CEO John Masterson, he helped establish the governance, board structure, and strategic focus required to guide the company forward with confidence, and played a central role in identifying Adelis Equity Partners as the right investment partner and supporting the process that led to the formation of the newly formed group through the combination with Bryntum.
Over a career spanning nearly three decades in enterprise technology, Osmond has a strong track record of supporting companies through key transitions. At Ocean Intelligent Communications, he helped lead the company's transformation into a managed services provider, culminating in its sale to CANCOM in 2018. As Chairman of BrightCloud Group, he directed strategy and led the process resulting in its successful exit to Gamma. He is also CEO and Co-Founder of Forge Technologies.
"Niall Crosby, the founder of AG Grid built something the developer community depends on every day. It has been a privilege to support the business through this period and put the foundations in place for what comes next. I'm proud of what has been achieved and look forward to continuing to support the group as it grows." — Jason Osmond
"Jason's contribution during this period has been significant. He brought clarity, structure, and experience at exactly the right time. We're pleased to continue benefiting from that as he joins the group board." John Masterson, CEO, AG Grid
Built for developers, proven in the enterprise
AG Grid was founded by Niall Corsby and has grown from a widely adopted open-source project into one of the most trusted data grid technologies in the world, used by hundreds of thousands of developers at organisations ranging from high-growth startups to the world's largest enterprises. Alongside AG Charts and the recently launched AG Studio, the company continues to invest in tools that help developers build high-performance, data-intensive applications to the standards required in production environments.
Bryntum was founded by Mats Bryntse in 2009 and has grown from a specialist scheduling component into a suite of tools - Scheduler, Gantt, Calendar, and Task Board - trusted by more than 5,000 organisations across 80 countries. Like AG Grid, it began with a focus on the developer experience and the kind of engineering depth that only comes from building for the hardest use cases first. The combination brings together two businesses built on the same principle: that the components developers reach for when requirements are serious have to be built to a different standard.
