What's New in AG Charts 11

AG Charts 11 is a major release of our JavaScript Charting Library which adds new functionality, visual enhancements and improvements in performance and stability:

  1. Fibonacci Tools
  2. Grouped Category Axis
  3. Save and Restore Chart State

As this is a major version there are breaking changes for anyone upgrading from 10.x. We recommend reading our migration guide and reviewing the list of changes in the release notes when planning to update to this version.

Fibonacci Tools

The addition of Fibonacci Tools to Financial Charts enables users to analyze potential support and resistance levels based on key Fibonacci ratios. The Fibonacci Retracement provides many customisation options, including the ability to choose how many bands to display.

See this documented here and illustrated below:

Grouped Category Axis

The Grouped Category Axis displays hierarchical axis levels for better organization and visualization of grouped data. Each level can be customised and configured with distinct formatting and labels.

This allows to better display not just a generic hierarchical dataset but also easily navigate row grouped data shown the grid.

See this documented here and illustrated below:

Save and Restore Chart State

The chart state can be saved, modified and restored at runtime. This includes the zoom and legend toggle state on all charts, as well as Financial Chart annotations and chart type.

This allows to easily save and restore chart state, ensure that the user can continue their work exactly where they left off.
